Siya Mosha Msc. is an advocate for health equity, strengthening community health, and social justice with a passion for women’s and girls’ development. While working at Sisterlove Inc. based in Atlanta, Georgia, she created sustainable and fruitful partnerships with Tanzanian organizations to uplift women’s and girls‘ reproductive rights. And as part of the Partnerships and Communications teams at RepresentWomen based in Silver Spring, Maryland, she assisted in empowering and supporting women who serve in political and appointed offices.
She has also taken part in organizations like Choose Yourself International — getting involved with the Girl Talk Afrique Series, to provide online and in person spaces for young women and girls across Africa to learn and broaden their understanding of African feminism.
Siya is currently working to assist free and charitable health clinics throughout the United States at Americares, striving to strengthen health systems so that individuals across demographics can have access to the health services they deserve. She is also a part of the Intersectionality Training Institute where their mission is advancing health equity and social justice with a heavy focus on intersectionality rooted in Black feminist activism.
With the growing global realization that climate does not only affect the Earth’s health and the necessity for a holistic approach, now known as Planetary Health, Siya is excited to bring her expertise in health equity and health systems strengthening to Sisters in Climate as Community Health Advisor.
